Rope Assisted Search Procedures for Large Area Structures: RASP

This one of kind hands-on interactive course provides firefighters and officers the most comprehensive up to date training involving rope searches when rescuing civilians and distressed firefighters. This all encompassing hands-on training will provide you and your department the confidence in establishing search rope procedures and their rescues. The course covers all areas of large area searches such as proper rope bag systems, tether searches, interior and exterior anchoring, thermal imaging, team searches, minimum manning searches, air management, sectoring structures and accountability, large area RIT deployments as well as civilian and distressed firefighter retrievals involving deployed search lines. This physically and mentally demanding program has been recognized by firefighters throughout the country as the ultimate in search methods when it comes to large area structures.

Truck Company Operations

An incredible comprehensive inter-active classroom and hands-on program taught by instructors with in depth experience in both engine and truck operations. This unique course will tune you up as well as having plenty to take back with you in sharing the experience with your department and its members. The 3 day program is filled with hands-on activities in the areas of aerial and tower ladder operations, tactical and operational positioning, truck tactics and strategies, tool usage, ventilation techniques on flat roofs and pitched roofs, all aspects of techniques and maneuvers in vent, enter, search, forcible entry, power saws, scenarios and so much more. This hard hitting program is for all ranks of the fire service to enjoy and share ideas with instructors who teach from the heart.

Fireground Search: That Others May Live

2 Days - 16 hours

This challenging and unique course is designed around aggressive fireground searches and the indicators for successful search size-ups. It provides students with information gathering techniques in determining the probable location of victims as well as once found their rescues. Search techniques and maneuvers for residential, commercial, assemblies and large area structures are applied to the instruction. The course applies aggressive primary searches with speed and accuracy increasing firefighter safety as well as increasing the chances of survival for victims whether they are civilian or distressed firefighters.

The need for the eyes and ears of individual firefighters as well as Rapid Intervention Companies in rescuing one of their own is now and should be a priority for every fire ground situation. The numerous risks faced by today’s fire service dictate that well trained and skilled firefighters be available to respond and perform the unthinkable in rescuing one of their own. This 2-day hand's on interactive program provides some of the most intensive disciplines in firefighter rescue and survival. Participants enrolled in this program will receive and be able to take back with them the solid basics as well as the most advanced up to date techniques and maneuvers in rapid intervention for the dynamic fireground. No firefighter engaged in firefighting should be without this life saving program taught by some of the country's most experienced national instructors in this field of discipline.

Fireground Rapid Egress: Tactical Survival

2 Days 16 hours

This unique and one of a kind interactive hands on program will provide all participants with rapid fire survival techniques and maneuvers when endangered by threatening fireground dynamics. This incredible course provides firefighters with rapid egress techniques whether they involve exiting structures or retreating to safe areas within them. Participants will be engaged in and taught rapid decision making survival methods individually as well as with their partners from the threats of flashover, disorientation, collapse, flame fronts and other fireground dynamics which can threaten their safety and survival.

This unique and challenging 1 day program is designed to expose you as well as prepare you for the complexities of utilizing RIT Packs both physically and mentally that can be experienced during an unthinkable event; a Mayday and the rescue of one of our own, or the rescue of a civilian. The course reviews all variations and models of RIT AIR PACKs from various manufacturers and their applications and relationships to each other. Extensive hands on applications are than applied in scenario based environments.

This 1 day hands-on interactive program involves many precarious actions that need to be taken involving civilian searches as well as fireground firefighter rescue and survival. This course is taught by some of the best nationally known heartfelt instructors that have been there and truly experienced it on the fireground. Areas to be covered over the 1 day program are personnel size-up, zero visibility search techniques both residential and large area, firefighter rescues, aggressive primary searches, air management, victim drags and carries, thermal imaging and rope assisted search procedures (RASP).
